City Diner

I cannot believe how I had passed by this little diner and never stepped foot inside. I had written it off as another FL "diner" attempting to be different than its regular chicken finger basket, fries, and greasy burgers counterparts.

If you have read any of my previous blogs, you would know I am on an ever continuous search for great pizza, a fantastic Ribeye, a true NY style Reuben...

Well up until now, Dixie Bar & Grill held the title for the best Reuben in PBC. City Diners' sandwich had a huge portion of corned beef, a nice layer of sauerkraut, the right amount of dressing, and the Rye bread was well toasted. And to top it off, they served it true NY style, with a bag of Original Lays potato chips and a pickle. My only issue was the sauerkraut was a little mild for me.

I was not a fan of the Corned Beef Hash, in my opinion it could have gotten a better char on it and I did not like it having so many onions. If you like any or all of those things, along with a hash that does not have a lot of fillers...this may be for you.

New Lake Worth restaurant.

Update:

This place has since closed. Sorry folks.

Lake Worth has a new food spot called Pietro's Plump Tomato. Tried the Chicken Mozz Panini and Eva had the Pesto Pasta.
My Panini was delicious, the mozz was fresh, the chicken was moist and not dry at all, bread was nice and crisp, and of course the pesto was the star of the dish.
The huge pluses to the restaurant was its location, for Lake Worth to not have a place that caters to vegans, foodies, and people who like to eat organic...Pietro's is a great addition.
The inside is cute and does have a big screen tv, but because the restaurant is downtown, if you can, sit outside and enjoy.

Best Reuben in Palm Beach County.

The Corned Beef Reuben at Dixie Bar and Grill in Palm Beach County is delicious. Their Rye bread is firm, they have a double layer of sauerkraut, fantastic flavor to their corned beef and a thin layer of 1000 Island Dressing.

Check it out! The only thing I dont fully endorse is the coleslaw, it is a little on the bland side.

Lunchtime @ Publix.

Decided to be daring and try the Reuben. Rye bread was nice and toasted, cheese was good, meat was good (only issue is its not the freshest I have had. Was a little thin and firm, maybe because it was cooked on the flat top for awhile), and the dressing was okay. Im not a huge Thousand Island fan. Overall, good sandwich.
